Poster Oberbaumbrücke Berlin
The Poster Oberbaumbrücke Berlin represents the bridge “Oberbaumbrücke” is located in Berlin Friedrichshain/Kreuzberg. Map.
I drew this urban sketch on the 5th of November 2009 directly at the location in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
As a technique I applied wash drawing. So as artistic tools I used for this illustration:
- a sketchbook “Montval” (Watercolour Paper , Format 30 x 30 cm -11,8″ x 11,8″-, 300 g/m2 -140 lb.in2-)
- a calligraphic pen (“Pilot Parallel Pen”- 2.4 mm)
- 2 paint brushes (fine and medium)
- dry pastels
I was sitting front of the Spree river on the bank May-Ayim-Ufer. I was sitting front of the Spree river on the bank May-Ayim-Ufer. It turned autumn with multicoloured flora in this place.
I used only 3/4 of an hour for this illustration and I had to finish the work with the color at home because the rain was coming!
On the left of the postcard Oberbaumbrücke, inside the red bridge, we see the yellow building of Universal Music.
The illustration of Poster Oberbaumbrücke Berlin is also on my blog “Traversée d’Encres”.
It is a double-deck bridge crossing Berlin’s river Spree, considered to be one of the city’s landmarks. It links Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, former boroughs that were divided by the Berlin Wall, and has become an important symbol of Berlin’s unity.
The lower deck of the bridge carries a roadway, which connects Oberbaum Straße to the south of the river with Warschauer Straße to the north. The upper deck of the bridge carries Berlin U-Bahn line U1/U12, from Warschauer Straße to the station Schlesisches Tor.
