Each t-shirt Laeti-Berlin is a unique product because I silk-screened it in our collective print salon in Berlin.
This impression is serigraphied on one side with the white pattern « Panorama Berlin @Klunkerkranich » on an denim blue t-shirt.
The original image is an urban sketch that I drew on the 30th of April 2011, directly at the location in Berlin-Neukölln @ Klunkerkranich. I was sitting on the roof terrace of the bar-restaurant « Klunkerkranich« , in the samebuilding of the shopping center « Neukölln Arkaden ». It was beautiful weather at the end of summer and warm like an Indian Summer.
This illustration is also on my blog « Traversée d’Encres » (« Through The Inks »).
Behind me played in live a nice music band from Istambul. It was during the « BERLiSTAMBUL #25 Underground Festival ».
I needed one hour and an half … the sunset is so beautiful there!
The material of those T-shirts is the bamboo.
Bamboo leaves and the soft, inner pith from the hard bamboo trunk are extracted using a steaming process and then mechanically crushed. The bamboo fibre is a cellulose fibre extracted or fabricated from natural bamboo, and possibly other additives, and is made from the pulp of bamboo plants. It is usually not made from the fibres of the plant, but is a synthetic viscose made from bamboo cellulose.
Moreover, the bamboo is extremely resilient and durable as a fiber. In studies comparing it to cotton and polyester, it is more eco-friendly and shows better moisture absorption.
Label « FAIR WEAR Foundation »: pro-active social responsibility. So this t-shirt is too fair trade ! About Continental Clothing
You can wash your t-shirt up to 30 °C (86 °F) and you can tumble dry.
Don’t worry! The print will stay perfect after the wash, because I fixed it with a special emulsion and I pressed it to impregnate.
